Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

What is Diversity? It's the sum of social, cultural, and identity-based attributes represented within a group.
What is Equity? Equity is access to opportunities and advancement for all members of a group.
What is Inclusion? Inclusion is the act of creating an environment in which all members of a group are welcomed, respected, supported and valued.

The Women's Energy Network is committed to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), both within the WEN organization and the workplaces in which our members are employed. We're committed to DEI through the following:

  1. Fostering a greater sense of belonging.
  2. Having representation of diverse talent at all levels.
  3. Instilling transparency on I&D efforts.
  4. Investing in our communities.

Many companies, including several of our sponsors, are actively driving to increase workforce diversity, providing inclusive culture, and diversifying their supply chain. What can you as an individual do on all these fronts? WEN has compiled several resources for use in training, conversations within your organizations, and daily life. Below is a little taste of these suggestions. WEN Members are encouraged to sign into your My Glue and continue the conversation and recommendations via our DEI Group. Aren't sure where to find the resource? Click here for a short video tutorial on how to navigate to the group.
