Program Overview

The Greater Oklahoma WEN Mentoring Circles Program is a peer-to-peer mentoring program that provides participants with networking opportunities, career guidance, and professional development. This program is open to all current chapter members who are interested in participating as either a mentor or mentee. Each year participants are paired with an experienced mentor and a small group of women in the energy industry to discuss current workplace topics, cultivate professional growth, and elevate their leadership skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Mentoring Program Events

  • August: The program kicks off with an orientation event where participants meet their mentor and other circle participants while learning about the year’s program.
  • September through May: Circles meet once a month to discuss the current month’s program content.
  • May: The program wraps up with an in-person networking event.

Criteria for Participants

In order to participate in the mentoring program, members must meet the following criteria:

  • Maintain good-standing membership with WEN for the duration of the program.
  • Commit to spending up to two hours per month, from August through May, preparing for and participating in the mentoring circle.
  • Submit an application when registration is open, typically between May and July each year.
